Health and Safety Policy

The management of Westpark Electric Ltd. considers the health and safety of all personnel on our construction sites to be of paramount importance in the conduct of the company s operations, and it is the policy of our company to perform work in the safest possible manner consistent with recognized construction practice.

Safety is everyone s business on all our projects. Management is responsible for providing a safe work site and for establishing and maintaining superior standards of maintenance of the site and equipment to ensure that physical and health standards are guarded against or eliminated, and for developing work procedures which promote a safe, healthy, and efficient workplace. All workers are held accountable to undertake the work in a safe manner while on the site in accordance with safety policies of the project.

 

Health and Safety Program

Westpark's Health & Safety Program has met or exceeded the strictest requirements of all past clients.The success of Westpark's Health & Safety Program to date has allowed the company to be in a merit position with respect to its WCB Experience Rating Adjustment. The company provides site specific training to employees, as well as taking advantage of training provided by our clients.

 

COR Certification

Westpark is pleased to be certified under the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA) COR program. Maintaining this certification requires annual or bi-annual audits of the entire company safety program, which ensures Westpark's program is being continuously updated and kept up with ever-changing industry standards.
